Abba Mayanja, the son of celebrated singer Joseph Mayanja alias Jose Chameleone, has taken to TikTok to express his heartfelt concerns over his father’s health, urging fans and friends to rally around the legendary artist during this critical time.
In an emotional video, Abba revealed that doctors have given his father a dire prognosis if he does not make significant changes to his lifestyle.
“I want you to know that if my father continues with this pattern, according to doctors, he has two years left, and this really hurts me because this is my father I have known my entire life, better than anyone on earth even the people that listen to his music,” Abba said, his voice heavy with emotion.
A Call for Support and Responsibility
In the video, Abba implored his father’s fans and friends to offer the necessary support to help him prioritize his health and well-being. He expressed frustration over what he perceived as selfish decisions that jeopardize his father’s life and his ability to care for his children.
“We need to work together to give my father the help he needs. I am very infuriated and angered by my father because I feel like he’s making selfish decisions. I have four siblings and so my father needs to be alive to take care of my siblings,” Abba said, emphasizing the importance of family responsibility.
Abba also highlighted that his father has received consistent advice from medical professionals about the need to change his habits but has yet to take decisive action. “He has been told time and time again from his doctors, health care professionals that this is a habit he needs to change,” he added.
Defending His Mother Against Critics
The young artist also addressed critics who have blamed his mother, Daniella Atim, for Chameleone’s health issues, defending her against unfounded accusations. “She has nothing to do with the ‘Baliwa’ singer’s health,” Abba clarified, urging people to focus on constructive efforts rather than pointing fingers.
Abba’s heartfelt plea has sparked widespread reactions, with many fans offering prayers and messages of support. The video serves as a sobering reminder of the human side of public figures and the role of family and community in supporting loved ones through health challenges.
