Kim Jong Un, Kim’s sister Kim Yo Jong reported that Fumio Kishida the prime minister of Japan requested a meeting with North Korean president Kim Jong Un.
He said there was little chance of a meeting without a change in Tokyo’s policy.
In a statement published by the official Korean Central News Agency, Kim Yo Jong said, Kisida recently expressed his desire to meet with the chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea as soon as possible.
The Prime Minister (Kisida) should know that just because he wants to, doesn’t mean he can meet Kim or that our leader will meet him.
Kim’s sister also said that it is clear that Japan opposes the Democratic People’s Republic of North Korea and violates its sovereign rights. We consider those who do so as enemies and they are our targets.
In February, Kim Yo Jong issued a similar statement on bilateral ties, saying North Korea was open to improving relationships with Japan and even inviting Kishida to Pyongyang. But she said those would be possible only if Tokyo
