US aviation giant Boeing and tech leader Google have each pledged $1 million to support the inauguration fund for President-elect Donald Trump, whose second term officially begins on January 20, 2025.
The two companies join a growing list of prominent American firms contributing to the event, including Chevron, Meta, Amazon, and Uber.
Boeing, currently building the next Air Force One, emphasized its longstanding bipartisan tradition of supporting presidential inaugural committees. “We are pleased to continue this tradition,” the company said, highlighting that similar donations were made for the last three inaugurations. Boeing is also working to overcome a safety and quality control crisis, as well as the impact of last year’s labor strikes.
Google, which will livestream the inauguration on YouTube and feature a homepage link, echoed similar sentiments. “We are proud to support the 2025 inauguration,” said Karan Bhatia, Google’s global head of government affairs and public policy. Google’s contribution follows similar donations from Meta and Amazon.
The automotive sector has also stepped up, with Ford, General Motors, and Toyota each donating $1 million. Energy giant Chevron confirmed its contribution but declined to disclose the exact amount. “We have a long tradition of celebrating democracy by supporting inaugural committees from both parties,” said Bill Turene, Chevron’s global media relations manager.
President Trump’s first term saw contentious negotiations with Boeing over the cost of the Air Force One contract, a deal he criticized as excessively expensive. Now, the upgraded presidential jets are expected to enter service next year.
As anticipation builds for the 2025 inauguration, these donations from leading corporations underscore their willingness to support bipartisan traditions
