National Unity Platform (NUP) president, Robert Kyagulanyi, popularly known as Bobi Wine, has joined leaders and activists from across the globe in Santiago, Chile, to address threats to democracy.
Posting on his X account, Bobi Wine reflected on the importance of the gathering, saying, “We gather in Santiago-Chile, South America alongside leaders and activists from around the world to discuss the threats against democracy and think about the opportunities and strategies to overcome them. Especially inspired to meet people who have been where we are today, and have succeeded in bringing about change in their countries.
The event brings together changemakers to share experiences and inspire action in the fight for democracy. Bobi Wine’s presence highlights his continued advocacy for freedom and justice, particularly in Uganda, where he remains a leading voice against authoritarianism.
